foys birthday so this is like... the first entry ive made in FOREVER i know. im not even sure who reads this anymore but i felt a little like writing again so, pfft why not.
i have to say today was great. sure i didnt get up til like, noon or whatever but thats a summer trend i cant break.
me and boman went for a bike ride down to the library today to [finally] get "the time travelers wife" for the WestMich Summer Reading Society despite it being balls hot outside. we ordered it though ILL as Chi suggested but it might take up to 10 days to get it /sigh/ fuck. we could order it on amazon i suppose... i dunno.
while we were unlocking out bikes on the way out some lady came up to us and said "hey sign this petition!" i told her "hey id like to but i dont sign anything without knowing exactly what im supporting mam". she tried to tell me something about how its an important bill that will be proposed within the next few weeks and that it was important. i gathered that it was important.
she didnt seem very confident about it, or really even know what it was. i tried to see if she had any information on it but she said "oh theres some stuff written on the back of these sheets i have" but she couldnt give me a website or really anything of use. i apologized and told her she should probably learn about what shes trying to sell to people beforehand.
immediately after that another lady commented about my monty python and the holy grail shirt i was wearing. we discussed monty python for a bit while i winded... wound my lock up on my bike. while being a bit creepy it was still fun having random conversations with strangers.
we went down to the river to waste some time before foys dinner/movie party. i love free air-conditioning on meh bike. ahh.
so we had dinner at TGIF and had some fucking delicious cake. our servers name was, no joke, "RACHEL!!!" since she had lost her nametag and her manager made her that one to use. so the whole time we were there we screamed RACHEL!!! because that was her name. she even tried the cake and thought it was tasty so we left her some to eat later.
we wasted a little more time at foys old place [hes movin soon] and played some smash bros. then we saw WALL-E! best. pixar. movie. ever. how... how do they keep making them better and better and better! it pretty much makes me realize ill never ever be as good as them, fucktwats i should just give the fuck up. guhhh.
afterwords we went to bennigans with our old friends Jenn, Naomi, Abby, and Jenns BF showed up later. we had a few drinks and just joked around [also the best meme ever was created "my mom was a (insert profession) she would know". also i saw the biggest skeleton key ever up on the ceiling that Chi would absolutely have loved but... you know it was a giant fucking key bolted to the ceiling how was i supposed to smuggle that out? dont worry Chi ill find you another one ;)

Game Title so we have to make up some kind of game idea for interface design. its supposed to be a training/study game for doctors. i wanted to get some opinions on the design of it. im pretty happy with it right now, but im sure there is somthing i missed a trained art eye might pick up on.

cheer up emo kid! theres hope for that file, along with any file youve deleted that windows hasent written over. dont let some stupid company charge you $30+ for a file recovery program, espically when there is this awsome free one right here.
the program is called, duh, Restoration. its this sweet little bitch that looks up files youve erased and lets you bring em back. though like the program suggests, use a seperate hard disk to restore files to just in case you write over them while saving them [PARADOX?!?!]. check it out, its intresting to see what you got rid of too.
Jawsome! was totally bored, so i recreated the street sharks logo. i noticed there wasent a high-quality verison anywhere, so i made it. although im mad at myself for not making it a vector image, so now i have to totally redo it if i want to use it on somthing large [like a t-shirt, wink wink].
April 1st: After buying a good amount of supplies at the general store, I, a carpenter by trade, JAMES, BOBBY, PAUL, and JUSTIN all head off on an exciting trip to the pacific ocean!
April 3rd: Within 20 miles, I caught cholera and BOBBY caught typhoid fever, the trip isn’t looking good.
just got done watching the premier of sci-fi's new original, Eureka.
i have to say it was just awsome. really funny, good story so far, and i LOVED matthew frewer on the show. it reminds me of Taken (if only its because its him on a science fiction show, meh)

Humans suck balls the human race sucks. there are some things that humans have that i just wonder "wtf?". what possible reason do these things have for existence? one of them is hives.

4th of july weekend i got my first ever case of them, thinking i was just mauled to death my misquitoes because i was outside for awhile, or maybe posion ivy or posion oak. but when it didnt go away and itched like hell i realized it was...
AHHHHH!!!! yeah they suck big time, luckily they are only appearing on my feet and toes. apperently hives can just pop up with no reason. thats just plain retarted. what possible turn in evolution could cause hives to exist. wrrrrryyyyyy!!!!! histimine just leaking out of your blood vessels? i can understand an allergy maybe but just comming on without cause? i dunno.
thats my overdramatic update for the summer. because, in fact, it was about the most exciting thing to happen so far. LAME. oh well i guess finding a still functioning HFC MP5 SD3 (a bb gun/rifle) on the ground was pretty cool too. i lubed it up, bought a new magazine and some BBs, and had some fun. ill post some pictures later.
hey all. i havent really been posting the progession of the project im working on, but id like to show you the *near* final result anyway.
basically, im creating an animation for Michigans Adventure's Physics Day (Michigans Adventure is a tiny theme park in Muskeegon that was recently bought by Ceder Point, which is in Ohio). physics day is the day where all the highschool physics students go to an amusement park (most schools do it) and usually do a packet of problems as a final "project" slash easy A.
anyway, myself and a few others made a movie to analyze the physics of the Corkscrew ride, as well as support/plug our school and its degree (Ferris States Digital Animation and Game Design). i was pretty much dumped on to do all the work, and even though i didnt really want to i got into it and made it the best possible project i could. i ended up doing the modeling of the entire track and supports, the station, the animation, the textures of the station, and the rendering. one person did the motor, which was originally going to be featured more but the person doing the chains didnt get to me in time. a friend Paul did the cart model. and we had technical support from my friend James. along with a director, we managed to get the project done in a few months. auctually, im writing this from in the computer lab where i have about... 25 high-speed, dual processor, hyper-threaded computers rendering the project. its due wednesday next week ;)
here are some stills of the shots im using to make a few posters with. tell me what you think. unfortunetly, we had to scrap our HDRI and reflections at the end to speed up rendering time. yeah it was dumb to use final-gather for an animation but i couldnt help it, it looks sooooo goooood.
